Judging process
All submissions will initially go to the Round One Judging Panel comprising around 25 industry specialists from a broad range of disciplines including retail, design, advertising, publishing, manufacture and academia. The judges will score submissions against criteria as listed on the judging criteria page . Only those entries which reach the required minimum score will be named as finalists.
Finalists from categories 1, 2,& 4 (and product finalists from category 3) will be notified and asked to submit their product (at their own cost) to a specified third party warehouse for review by our Round Two Judges: The Head Judge Panel.
Finalists in category 5 (Australian Retailing) may be asked to submit a selection of hard and soft copy images for the final judging round.
The Head Judge Panel will collectively decide the final winners for each award.
New! People's Choice Award
The public can vote online from the list of all finalists in categories 1 - 4 for the People's Choice Award (one vote per person). All eligible finalists must provide one image in jpeg format (1mb or less) of their entry for display on the Gift Awards website. Finalists will appear on the Gift Awards website in late April 2008.
Winners will be announced at The Gift Awards 2008 Gala Dinner, to be held on Friday 30 May.
